Credit-risk experience across non-bank financial institutions grounds the work in how capital providers evaluate risk, resilience and returns.
Founder & Managing Director
Institutional finance insight and applied economics, directed toward development, resilience and long-term growth.
The founder's perspective
Abongile Vika founded SAfrinomics to close the gap between sophisticated economic and financial analysis and the real decisions facing enterprises, funders and development institutions.
His professional background includes non-bank financial institutions credit analysis at a leading South African bank, with experience across credit-risk assessment, portfolio analysis, pricing and institutional financing frameworks. That grounding keeps SAfrinomics' work aligned with the way banks, DFIs and institutional investors interrogate risk and allocate capital.
He holds an MCom in Econometrics from the University of Pretoria and is pursuing doctoral research in Economics. His research examines financial systems, capital allocation and the structures that influence development and market efficiency.
